I loved this, from the hunting through the slates to find the part you need, to sanding all the pieces to perfection, to the firm yet delicate way you press the wood together. Loved it, wish I could take it apart to do it again.

Side thoughts: really look at the instructions closely. I found parts that look very similar but are in fact different sizes. Also, going back can be rough, the wood isn’t as snug and the orings are almost impossible to get of without a lot of force. So go slow and really pay attention.

I bought this as a Chritmas gift for my son. He's always liked 3D puzzles. He has a small collection of those colorful plastic ones we bought for him to assemble during his high school exams per his request, he said they helped with the stress of preparing for them.

He's much older now but when I saw this and realized how functional it was I thought he might appreciate something a little more advanced than a plastic piramid lol. Needless to say, the delight I saw on his face when he opened his present was pure joy for me. He loves it! I also bought him a clock from the same company, so you will see a similar review for that. lol.

I highly recommend this for anyone who gets enjoyment from working with their hands on intricate puzzles, especially when the end result is a fuctioning piece of art. :-D
